01 about
Located in the heart of downtown Lancaster, The Bausman Exchange is a vibrant community hub celebrating both history and local entrepreneurship. This magnificent four-story building was originally designed in 1906 by renowned Lancaster architect C. Emlen Urban for J.W.B. Bausman, a prominent local attorney and president of Farmers Trust Co. bank. Named in honor of its original commissioner, the building stands as a testament to Lancaster's rich architectural heritage and Bausman's vision for downtown commerce. Today, The Bausman Exchange continues Bausman's legacy of supporting local commerce, serving as home to an eclectic mix of small businesses where local artisans and entrepreneurs thrive alongside our unique upstairs Airbnb accommodations.
